The Seagrave Project - Phase 6

Our restoration of a 1949 Seagrave pumper continues:

The  body is brought back from the sandblaster, ready for the next steps of sanding, priming and painting. these are the last major pieces to need painting.

After painting, the body is hoisted back onto the chassis, and bolted together. Also "trex" floor boards are instaslled in the hose bed.

Side panels, hood, fenders and seats are mounted. (1)

Still more parts are bolted on, including the booster hose reel, doors, chrome parts, ladders and suction hose, etc. (1)

But Hey, it's finally startng to look like a fire truck. (2)

The bumper, mirrors, bell and siren are all added,
and then the pinstriping is painted on to finish the job.
